Core for any successful campaign is planning and building strategies. We teach and train groups in how to develop political strategies for nonviolent campaigns. Depending on the circumstances we can make a general introduction to strategy and analysis of effectiveness, or we work closely with a group to develop a wise strategy for their particular situation. This can be done as a workshop prior to the start of a campaign or we can work as consultants during the campaign itself.
Key elements in campaign building are education of the group itself, dissemination of knowledge to a wider audience, and developing skills for mobilisation and organising. Developers of successful campaigns work on their own initiatives at the same time as they are prepared to meet all surprising moves from the opponent(-s). Good strategies combine critique with constructive alternatives and prepare a large range of possible actions for escalating their activities with nonviolent means.
